Nationally, Kappa Delta was founded on October 23, 1897 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Kappa Delta first came to Towson’s Campus in 1992. Our Chapter, Zeta Mu, was chartered in November of that year. In the Fall of 2012, we celebrated our chapter's 20th anniversary. We are a group composed of leaders and ladies that are always "striving for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest" in all that they do.
We have a good reputation on campus and always seem to come out on top. During the past 3 semesters, we have been ranked as the top Chapter on Towson’s campus and awarded the Presidents Cup, one of the highest honors at the Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards. We also received the Terri Hall Award for Chapter Excellence for the 2009 - 2010 school year, 2010-2011 and 2012-2013! We placed 2nd overall in Greek Week 2012 and fourth overall in Homecoming 2012. We won Greek Sing AND Greek Week in 2013, which we are so excited about! The sisters of Kappa Delta also strive to keep up good G.P.A.’s and have ranked above the all sorority G.P.A in the past years. Our sisters are involved on campus as well as in our chapter, and are leaders all around the community.
