Nationally, Kappa Delta was founded on October 23, 1897 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Kappa Delta first came to Towson’s campus in 1992 and our chapter, Zeta Mu, was chartered in November of that year. We are a group of women, strong leaders, and amazing sisters who are always "striving for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest" in all that we do.
In Spring 2019 we placed 1st in Greek Week and 1st in Greek Sing and proceeded in Fall 2019 to place 1st in Homecoming Week and 3rd in Dance the Madness We were also ranked Silver in Fall 2018 by the Chapter Assessment Program (CAP). This ranking focuses on our involvement on campus, specifically in Panhellenic events.
Kappa Delta women pride themselves on being well-rounded women who succeed academically while remaining involved in a myriad of things on campus. Our chapter held the highest GPA in Spring 2019 and Fall 2019 and since then has continually maintained one of the highest GPAs on campus, with an overall GPA of 3.46 as of Spring 2020.
We have an incredibly strong sisterhood allowing sisters to gain life long friends, support systems, adventure buddies, and SISTERS!
